【大紀元2013年11月12日訊】（大紀元記者黃玉燕台灣台中報導）老五老基金會為獨老送年菜已進入第8年，募款活動也在11月正式開跑。身兼董事長的中國醫大院長林正介表示，多年來堅持當日新鮮現做、現送，不用冷凍食品解凍，是最大特色，但今年也面臨找不到製餐單位窘境，最後找到中國醫大學附設醫院臨床營養科願意接手，延續這份溫暖。
臨床營養科主任楊美都說，首次擔任愛心義廚，也是一個考驗，在製作年菜同時必須兼顧院內病患用餐。這次為長者設計的年菜，特別考量長者咀嚼能力、營養需求及傳統過年菜色等因素設計菜單。
