英國國防部長哈蒙德29日說，英國部隊在阿富汗巴斯欽營的拘禁設施，確實拘留了八十至九十名阿富汗人。代表其中八人的律師說，這些人並無罪名卻遭到非法拘留，並將英軍的拘禁設施與美國的關達那摩灣監獄相提並論。英國部隊有權拘禁嫌犯九十六小時，但在蒐集關鍵情報的「特殊狀況」下，可留人久些。這些人已被拘禁八到十四個月不等。英軍表示釋放這些人將危及英軍安全。（BBC）
