英國科學家以梭孢桿菌屬 (clostridium)進行基因改造，基改後的細菌有助對抗癌症，因為它可以找出癌細胞，並釋放使癌細胞較易受癌症藥物影響的酵素。抗癌基改細胞目前仍在研究初期，相關單位希望五年內展開試驗。
