江蘇河豚鄉　斥資3.4億建豚像當地標

【綜合報導】江蘇揚中市斥資7千萬人民幣，約3.4億台幣，建造新地標，金光燦爛的河豚銅像，引發民眾重批。這個地標距地面42公尺，相當於15層樓高，據官方介紹，這是目前中國最大的異形鋼結構城市雕塑，體積創下世界之最，正在申請金氏世界紀錄。

河豚銅像總重2100噸，其中單是黃銅的用量就達到85噸，各種鋼材用量達1700噸，黃銅和鋼材的費用加起來約人民幣1020萬元。還有報導指出，這項設計施工並沒有經過投標。

雖然揚中被稱為「中華河豚之鄉」，但斥資建蓋河豚地標，民眾批評當局用公帑建形象工程，表示「揚中以河豚為地標，太湖、陽澄湖邊是否也應豎個大閘蟹呢？」，「誰不知道『河豚』是公款吃喝代名詞，江蘇打造河豚地標，這不是在與中央唱對台戲？」
