軍方：夏立言之子若入境就需服兵役

即將接任國防部副部長的夏立言，卻被爆出兒子持有中華民國護照，卻不回國服兵役。對此國防部表示，夏立言兒子的兵役尚未免除，如果入境，徵兵機關會依相關作業規定進行徵兵處理。

夏立言則透過國防部發言人羅紹和轉述，表示自己長期派駐國外工作，兒子自幼即隨同他在國外求學。夏立言表示，認同國民履行兵役義務的重要性，同時也會持續和兒子溝通，鼓勵他返國服役。

軍方官員說，夏立言有一子一女，兒子目前已32歲，大學畢業後就在美國工作多年，並非外界所說的「逃避兵役」，而夏立言鼓勵其兒子返國服兵役，態度亦值得肯定。
