二十四年後英人瑞達十一萬

到二零三七年，英國的百歲人瑞將達十一萬，八十歲以上的人口更超過六百萬。

依照英國統計局的資料，二十年以後，英國每十二個人，就有一個年過八十。

統計局說，由於醫藥改善、財富增加、生活方式改善以及體力活減少等因素，英國老人越來越多。二十四年以後，英國退休人員將佔五分之一，也就是說，需要照顧的人越來越多。
