政府官員卅日表示，埃及可能先選舉總統，再選舉國會。這項重新安排的政治時程，可望讓軍方首長塞西於明年四月前當選國家領袖。

今年七月軍方於群眾示威狂潮中罷黜總統穆希，根據當時擬定的路線圖，埃及將先舉行國會選舉。但是批評者提出改變建議，認為埃及需要一位民選的領袖，在埃及面臨經濟與政治雙重危機中帶領政府，以及在分裂的國會選舉前形成政治聯盟。

反對者認為先選總統將創造出一位權力不受約束的總統。（路透）
