蒲亭在素溪 慶祝東正教耶誕節

俄羅斯總統蒲亭(Vladimir Putin)今天(7日)在靠近南部渡假勝地素溪(Sochi)附近、一座剛完工的教堂內，慶祝東正教的耶誕節，蒲亭在慶祝儀式上，為所有的教友們祈禱。

素溪是即將於下個月，舉行今年冬季奧林匹克運動會的地點。

蒲亭在數百名教友，包括戴頭巾的婦女在內，在這座新蓋好的素溪教堂內，從6日深夜到今天凌晨，進行子夜彌撒。

俄羅斯東正教認為耶穌基督的誕生日，根據儒略曆(Julian Calendar)是在每年1月7日，不是一般認為的「貴格利曆」(Gregorian calendar)，也就是公曆。俄國東正教認為教會從未將曆法轉為用公曆紀年。

但是在西方的天主教會，從1582年起，改用公曆至今。
