民進黨籍苗栗縣議員詹運喜上午和黨籍立委吳宜臻，在苗栗市玉苗社區活動中心舉辦「反核救台灣」活動，作家李喬、民進黨苗栗縣黨部前主委徐進榮等人說明反核立場，與民眾交換意見。

詹運喜強調反核應從開源、節流角度思考，台灣如增加太陽能、風力及水力發電，同時使用節能的供電、照明設備，核四根本沒必要興建，且從核安角度來看，核廢料迄今無法安全處理，民眾更應體認反核的重要。
