【大紀元2013年12月31日訊】（大紀元記者駱亞報導）2014年的新年鐘聲已经敲響，南半球的澳大利亞是繼紐西蘭之後的第二個迎接新年到來的國家。悉尼煙火被認為是世界上規模最大、技術最先進的煙花表演，今年更是往年規模的二倍，當晚估計有一百六十萬的澳洲人及世界各地遊客守候在聞名世界的悉尼大橋、悉尼歌劇院及悉尼情人港附近的港口海濱觀賞絢麗的煙火，等待2014年的來臨。
今年悉尼煙花主題為「閃耀」（Shine），悉尼市政府跨年團隊經過15個月的精心準備後，在人們的倒計時聲中，點亮創意大使藝術家兼音樂人雷吉•蒙巴薩（Reg Mombassa）為主題設計的標誌圖「全視之眼」，迎接新年到來。雷吉認為眼睛是人面部最具奧妙的器官，喻為心靈之窗。
