【陳智偉／綜合外電報導】國際貨幣基金（IMF）最新《全球經濟展望報告》，已開發經濟體成長預估修正幅度較小，主要拜日本、英國目標獲得調升，平衡歐、美下修影響所致，已開發經濟體2013年整體成長目標僅下修0.1個百分點至1.2%，2014年也僅調降0.2個百分點至2.1%。

【綜合報導】日本社會有著嚴重的高齡化傾向，當地警察本周宣布了一個值得深思的數據：從有資料記載以來，2012年全國超過65歲的遭逮竊賊，共有3321位，幾乎占了所有年齡層中的四分之一，遠高於青少年竊賊數。1999年時，這個數字只有336人。

【綜合報導】根據英國廣播公司報導指出，倫敦大學學院(University College London)研究1萬1千多名7歲以下的兒童就寢時間，對腦力發展的影響，結果顯示超過晚上9點就寢的孩子，閱讀和數學的分數明顯較差，就寢時間不規律的孩子，學習成績上表現最差。
