【綜合報導】與丈夫一起住在美國加州橘郡(Orange County)的喬氏(Catherine Kieu)，2011年時因為和先生發生爭執，趁先生不注意，把他綁在床上，拿廚房裡的菜刀一刀切下先生的命根子，接著拿到專門處理廚餘的攪碎機，把先生的生殖器打成肉泥。急救後先生雖保住一命，但已完全沒有復原的可能。這起駭人聽聞的傷害案，日前判決喬氏無期徒刑、終身不得假釋定讞。

【綜合報導】 美國一名18歲青年，因為與朋友打賭50美元(約台幣1500元)，賭他「敢脫光騎摩托車到20分鐘遠的鎮上」，竟然真的脫光衣服、只穿了一雙皮靴就騎上機車，結果被警方逮到，不但要吃下罰款650美元(約台幣1.95萬元)，還得面臨妨礙風化等罪名，得不償失。

【綜合報導】埃及總統穆西星期天上任滿一年，民眾控訴經濟沒有起色，生活沒有保障，就連以為推翻穆巴拉克後可迎來的民主，也沒有到來，穆西將所屬黨派「穆斯林兄弟會」(Muslim Brotherhood)的利益，擺在國家之前，民眾聚集在解放廣場，揮舞著國旗，呼喊著口號，要求穆西下台，就在幾百公尺外，另一群支持穆西的民眾，也出動遊行譴責反對派。
