現在美國舉行的 D11 大會上，Google Android 部門主管 Sundar Pichai 確認搭載 Android 原生系統的 HTC One 會在近期上市。這個內建 32GB 儲存空間的版本，將無 SIM 卡鎖並支援開發者解鎖，並會在 6 月 26 日（與 Samsung Galaxy S 4 原生解鎖版同期）於 Google Play Store 購得，空機價 599 美元（約 HK$4,650 / NT$17,960）。HTC 向我們表示，初期將只能在美國境內購得此 Nexus 體驗版的 One，目前未能確定將來其他國家會否有貨源。

電信部分方面，此手機支援 LTE（700/850/AWS/1900）、HSPA+（850/1900/2100）與 GSM / EDGE 雙頻模式，兼容美國 T-Mobile 與 AT&T 網路。由於這款機型的目的就是要讓使用者體驗原生 Android 系統，所以將不會看到一絲 Sense 5（例如 BlinkFeed 與 Zoe ） 或 HTC 所提供軟體應用的痕跡。看來市場上的搭載原生系統旗艦機種將有一番兩強之爭。

更新：按鍵操作方面，原生 Android 版的新 HTC One 會和普通版一樣，輕擊主頁鍵便可回到主頁，長按主頁鍵可打開 Google Now，雙擊顯示最近使用 App，而返回鍵的作用就是返回。
