歐巴馬在聲明中要求埃及軍方快速、負責任的，透過公開程序將權力回歸民選政府，避免任意逮捕穆西總統以及其支持者，歐巴馬已指示相關部會，檢視埃及政局改變對美國提供埃及援助的可能影響。
