穆希下台後 首位美國高官勃恩斯訪埃

美國副國務卿勃恩斯(William Burns)14日抵達開羅，他將和埃及臨時政府及軍方會談。這是前總統穆希(Mohamed Morsi)遭軍方罷黜後，美國首度派出高層官員訪問埃及。

美國國務院發言人莎琪(Jen Psaki)表示，勃恩斯將在埃及停留3天，他將表達美國政府對埃及人民的支持。

莎琪說，勃恩斯將會晤埃及各層面人士，其中包括文人過渡政府、埃及軍方、政黨代表、宗教領袖、社會活躍份子，以及商業界人士等。

莎琪表示，勃恩斯希望直接聆聽來自埃及各階層的聲音，這是美國全力協助埃及過渡到民主選舉政府努力的一部份。
