美國時間週五，達拉斯小牛隊宣佈釋出NBA的二年級生，也就是中鋒Bernard James。但小牛隨後表示這是迫不得已的決定。
日前小牛曾說服James，將原本載明於合約中的保障日期7月15日延後，球團高層此舉是希望另尋時間再將其留下，因為他們需要一些時間整頓球員名單，如此才有足夠的薪資空間續留James，縱使2013-14球季他的年薪不過區區788,872美元。
根據《ESPN》報導，小牛於美國時間週五，相當不情願地釋出Bernard James，肇因於他們需要免除James的薪資，才足以與Monta Ellis正式簽約。
目前小牛的長人首選依舊為Greg Oden，即使近日已簽下Samuel Dalembert，球團方面還是選擇繼續與邁阿密熱火、聖安東尼奧馬刺及紐奧良鵜鶘一同競逐Greg Oden。
Bernard James這位6呎10吋的中鋒，出身於佛羅里達州大，在2012年的選秀會中，被克里夫蘭騎士於第二輪相中，之後輾轉來到達拉斯。
現年28歲的他，上季為小牛先發出賽11場，留下場均2.8分、2.8籃板、0.8次阻攻的成績。 (接下一頁)
