單側牙病變恐顏面不平衡

牙齒些微疼痛不宜忍，最好趕快治療。北市聯醫護理師陳雅芳表示，單側的牙齒病變，常讓兒童為避開疼痛而只以單側咀嚼，時間一久，可能造成顏面不平衡。

陳雅芳提到，自尊心較高的兒童，可能自卑於一口爛牙，不敢開口說話；而顏面靠近嘴巴的地方，也可能因缺牙所造成的塌陷，影響顏面美觀。

每顆乳牙下方，都有一顆正在發育的恆牙，在乳牙脫落之後，恆牙便能萌出，取代原來的乳牙。乳牙若因蛀牙等病變，而提前掉落或須先予拔除，這個預先空出的空間，則有可能讓鄰近空間的恆牙傾斜生長過來，反而侵占了該處恆牙可生長的正常空間，產生日後的恆牙無法萌發、牙齒擁擠或是齒列不正等問題。

專家建議，盡量不要養成含著奶瓶入睡、邊餵食邊睡覺的習慣，也應避免含飯、食物停留在嘴巴中太長的時間。零食建議是在正餐完後食用，吃完之後刷牙。長第一顆牙開始就要清潔，可用紗布或毛巾擦拭牙齒及牙齦，等臼齒長出來後，就必須使用牙刷。從孩童長出第一顆牙開始，就可以每三～六月定期看牙醫。
