蓋茲和鮑默爾尋求續任微軟董事

路透報導，儘管近來有微軟股東希望降低董事長蓋茲（Bill Gates）與即將退休的執行長鮑默爾（Steve Ballmer）的影響力，但他們兩人將尋求繼續擔任公司董事，且可望在11月19日的股東年會上如願連任。

鮑默爾8月已宣布計劃未來一年內卸下執行長職務，公司找到新執行長後就交棒，但仍無跡象顯示蓋茲也會跟著卸下董事長、或離開微軟董事會。根據路透，微軟三名大股東本周遊說董事會，希望施壓蓋茲下台。

不過，蓋茲和鮑默爾在11月16日微軟舉行股東年會時，仍可望獲選為公司董事。

微軟還沒找到鮑默爾的接班人，且尋覓新執行長的過程可能會持續到明年8月，而不論鮑默爾是否繼續擔任董事，他上月和分析師開會時，已表明將繼續擔任微軟的主要投資人。

申報資料顯示，蓋茲仍是微軟最大個人股東，擁有4.5%持股，其次為鮑默爾的4%。但若蓋茲繼續像過去十年來大約每季都會出售2,000萬股微軟股票，鮑默爾持股明年春季將超越蓋茲，成為微軟最大個人股東。
