多倫多市長的電視秀被取消

因吸毒酒醉、醜聞纏身的加拿大「多倫多」市長「福特」在遭到市議會表決一致通過褫奪市長職權後，「福特」誓言向市議會正面宣戰，在此同時，「福特」與他哥哥、市議員「道格」一起主持的電視節目在周一推出第一集後，就被取消；可說是禍不單行。

「福特」兩兄弟在加拿大「太陽新聞網」聯手主持一個電視秀，名為「福特國」，但在周一首播之後，就被取消。

「太陽新聞網」總裁表示，「福特國」電視秀吸引了十萬人收看，打破了他們的紀錄，但鑒於目前推出的時間有些敏感，公司決定取消，不過，市長「福特」兩兄弟會經常受邀，以貴賓身分上他們的電視。

「福特」自從兩星期前，承認吸毒後，事情不但沒有因此劃下句點，還餘波盪漾，「福特」接連爆發酒醉、爆粗口、揚言殺人，甚至還傳出性騷擾醜聞。市議會希望「福特」自動請辭、或休長假，暫時離開，但是「福特」堅持不肯，最後迫使市議會不得不祭出斷然措施，表決動議案，摘除市長職權。

而在周一表決中場休息時，「福特」在走廊與抗議民眾發生口角，在衝突中，「福特」出手，一拳將市議員「馬克奈爾」打到在地上，顯然這又是「福特」要公開道歉的意外。
