天主教宗方濟各與8名樞機主教濟行協商後，美國波士頓樞機主教歐馬利5日宣布，梵蒂岡將成立兒童保護委員會，杜絕神職人員性侵兒童，並幫助受害者。

教宗說，處理神職人員性侵兒童的問題對重振天主教信譽極為重要。（英國廣播公司）
