外交部長林永樂說，政府與民間在這次援助菲律賓「海燕」風災上展現最佳合作，效率最高行動最快，獲得菲國公開肯定與感謝。

外交部表示，今天表揚捐贈總市值前廿名團體包括中華民國紅十字會總會、佛教慈濟慈善基金會、南僑化工、靈鷲山佛教教團、佛光山寺、中華民國一貫道總會、義美食品股份有限公司、財團法人福智佛教基金會、世界台灣商會聯合總會、中華民國全國漁會等。
