加拿大傳H5N1死亡病例 北美第一例

加拿大證實發生第一起高病原禽流感H5N1病毒導致的死亡病例，這是北美首例。

亞伯達省衛生部透露，一位亞伯達居民，上個月27號，搭乘加拿大航空班機，從北京經溫哥華返回（愛德蒙頓）之後，身體不適，這個月一號入院，兩天後死亡。

亞伯達衛生部強調，這是獨立案例，不屬於季節流感，擴散的可能性低。

這個冬天，亞伯達已經有十個人死於H1N1病毒導致的豬流感、或稱新流感。H5N1病毒的死亡病例，在這之前北美還不曾見過。H5N1會侵襲下呼吸道後深入肺部，引發致死的肺炎。

世界衛生組織說，這種病毒如果沒有突變，人傳人的可能性低，不過人一旦感染，死亡率高達六成。

加拿大衛生部沒有透露死者性別、年齡或職業，只說它們正與中國當局密切聯繫，追查感染源。
