非洲厄利垂亞囚至少1萬政治犯

國際特赦組織今日公布報告，譴責非洲東北部國家厄利垂亞，指其專制政府「至少囚禁了1萬名政治犯」。這些政治犯被關在地牢與貨櫃裡。

報告指出，該國政府禁止國民組織反對黨、壓制獨立媒體、打壓少數宗教族群。國際特赦組織研究人員貝斯頓說，「該國政府有系統地打壓所有反對派，任意逮捕並且拘留人犯，讓所有人噤若寒蟬。假如還有人拒絕服從，就會用限制人身自由等更嚴厲的方式懲罰」。
