縱火燒卡拉OK釀5死　男判死刑

新竹市男子彭建源不滿友人周志強以「正在唱歌沒空」為由，拒絕和他同去尋仇，竟買了10公升汽油，縱火燒周男經營的卡拉OK，導致周男在內共5人慘死，另三人受傷；新竹地院一審判他死刑，高院今天二審，駁回上訴；本案還可上訴。
 
新竹地院一審認定彭男泯滅天良，依故意殺人、不確定故意殺人等罪，判處彭建源死刑，褫奪公權終身，高院今天宣判，審判長告知「上訴駁回」，彭似乎聽不太懂，在被押解回看守所前，問律師：「也是判死刑？」並請律師幫忙寫上訴書。
 
彭男面對媒體詢問時，雙手遮著臉不發一語。本案還可上訴。
