歹時機 芝加哥太陽時報裁撤攝影部門

根據母公司--太陽時報媒體(Sun-Times Media)集團表示，芝加哥太陽時報(Chicago Sun-Times)30日將整個攝影部門裁員，這是面臨危機的美國報業所遭受的最新一擊。

根據熟悉情勢發展的消息人士告訴法新社，太陽時報媒體集團將要求文字記者，自己拍照及攝影來搭配文章，並計劃就重大新聞報導聘用自由攝影師。

芝加哥太陽時報此舉，正值美國報業為了因應數年來的廣告收益急劇衰退、以及媒體環境變遷而救亡圖存之際。

消息人士說，芝加哥太陽時報和它的郊區報紙，把28名員工叫進晨會中，然後告訴他們要馬上解聘。這名消息人士拒絕證實，資方是否有提供遣散費。

代表太陽時報記者的工會表示，竟然會有報紙認為攝影記者是可以捨棄的，這令人相當震驚，他們計劃展開抗爭。

美國報業面臨銷售及收益衰退的危機，據指出，印刷廣告去年減少7.3%，相當於15億美元，並且是連續第六年下滑。全國性廣告特別疲軟，顯示企業轉到其他平台打廣告。
