我國最大的慣常水力電廠，大甲溪電廠青山分廠的尾水隧道全線貫通，今天舉行貫通典禮。大甲溪電廠青山分廠的重建進度已突破五成，預計後年底重新恢復運轉，屆時每年供電能力6.21億度，接近台電所有161座風力發電機的總發電量，是我國重要的水力電廠。

台電指出，青山分廠尾水隧道全長2060公尺，在施工人員不見天日的環境下，每一次的鑽炸只能開挖1至2公尺，歷經1000多日的施工，在今年的7月16日貫通。
