近日，毒餐盒流入市面事件時有所聞，消息指出業者在紙製食品容器製程中，因沾染污漬，以有毒溶劑甲苯擦拭。基隆市衛生局說，基隆雖無衛生紙製食品容具、食品容器或包裝製造業者，但衛生局仍針對本市販售紙製免洗食品容（器）具業者追蹤其來源，截至目前為止，尚未發現進貨來源是皇冠印刷的免洗餐盒。

有關業者在紙製食品容器製程中，因沾染污漬，以有毒溶劑甲苯擦拭，導致民眾用餐不安情事。雖經所轄台中市政府衛生局到現場稽查調查，並已要求業者暫停作業及停止販賣，封存及回收該產品，並已抽驗紙製餐盒的衛生安全符合情形。

依食品衛生管理法規定，業者於製造、販賣、輸入、輸出食品器具、食品容器或包裝時，如使用有毒物質則違反食品衛生管理法，將依法命業者暫停作業及停止販售、封存該產品，並處罰鍰。因此基隆市衛生局呼籲販售業者，應遵守相關法定的規範，並確保產品品質與衛生安全，以免觸法受罰。

另外，有鑑於外食人口日益增加，免洗餐具使用頻繁，製造過程若處理不當，易含有化學物質，長期使用可能對健康產生影響。基隆市衛生局建議市民外出用餐時，可「自備環保餐具」，衛生乂省錢。
