法新社：UN化武專家開始調查工作

法新社1名攝影記者說，9名禁止化學武器組織(OPCW)的專家，今天(2日)離開下榻的飯店，就敘利亞政府提供的化學武器庫存資料，展開確認工作。不過，這名攝影記者表示，並不清楚這9名OPCW專家前往查證的地點。

在抵達大馬士革的2天後，這9名OPCW專家今天分乘3輛交通工具展開查證工作。

這次抵達大馬士革執行銷毀敘國化武作業的OPCW專家共有19人，將根據聯合國第2118號決議案內容，執行銷毀敘利亞化武的任務。

第2118號決議案是在敘利亞於8月21日、大馬士革東郊發生化武攻擊平民事件後，聯合國安理會通過的銷毀敘化武決議案。

OPCW小組目前的任務，聚焦於確認敘國提供的化武資料是否正確。

此外，銷毀敘利亞化武的任務相當艱鉅，敘國據說擁有超過1千噸的各類毒氣，包括沙林毒氣、芥子氣和其他遭禁止的化學藥劑，而且分別儲存於敘國各地約45處地點。

此外，這也是OPCW小組成員首次在交戰區內執行任務。
