前行政院長游錫堃今（20）日應邀出席「2013土城扶輪節能盃自行車自我挑戰賽」，游錫堃表示，新北市不能只是一個睡覺的城市，它是一個充滿生活的機能，具有好山好水好環境的城市。

游錫堃指出，過去他擔任宜蘭縣長時，任內推動休閒環境可說是不遺餘力，像今日流行騎自行車的休閒運動，早在10多年前就在宜蘭推動有成，如羅東運動公園、冬山河岸的自行車道等，都非常受到民眾的歡迎，甚至是許多觀光客必排的行程之一；游錫堃強調，他有信心，新北市只要讓有遠見、有魄力的市長來做，新北市的生活品質，一定可以超越台北市。
