美最大型驅逐艦　擬近期下水

【國際中心／綜合外電報導】因為美國政府關門，導致命名典禮暫停的美國海軍最大型驅逐艦朱瓦特號，在政府恢復運作後，即將準備下水。它也是自阿雷勃克級（Arleigh Burke）驅逐艦1989年在通用動力公司（General Dynamics）子公司巴斯鋼鐵廠（Bath Iron Works）下水以來，美國第一艘新驅逐艦。

朱瓦特艦（Zumwalt class destroyer，又稱DD(X)或DDG-1000）是實驗中的美國海軍驅逐艦，設計為多功能近海攻擊艦與神盾防禦艦。其強大武力、較現有戰艦更佳的匿蹤特性，與其他先進設備如聲納與導彈等，朱瓦特艦還擁有射程達160公里的先進火砲。

這艘軍艦近日內將移至緬因州乾船塢內，舉行簡單的下水儀式。當年49歲的朱瓦特，是在尼克森總統任內被擢升為美國最年輕的上將，除在二戰期間戰功彪炳外，他也致力結束種族歧視，並首度允許女性上船服役。
