母患躁鬱症　兒被口中塞襪丟櫃子

【施旖婕／綜合外電報導】美國印第安納州一名患躁鬱症的22歲媽媽杭特(Sasha Hunt)，涉嫌將襪子塞入3個月大兒子的口中，然後把他放在衣櫃內，任由他窒息死，杭特近日被控謀殺。

杭特一心要令男嬰窒息，用襪塞入男嬰口，用膠帶封着，並綁起嬰兒的手，以免他拔掉口中襪，再將他伏在枕頭上，一併塞進衣櫃。丈夫回家後，隱約聽到哭聲，追查之下，在1歲女兒房間的衣櫃，發現以毛毯裹著的男嬰。他立即撕開膠帶並拔掉襪子，救回男嬰，然後報警。

丈夫說，杭特有躁鬱症，懷孕後停藥，發作時脾氣就變得非常暴躁，曾把冷氣機推出窗、踢穿牆，也打過他。男嬰出生後對他很粗暴，見過男嬰有瘀傷，但杭特訛稱是女兒所為。杭特前日被控以企圖謀殺和疏忽照顧兒童罪。
