高爾夫／LPGA夢碎　老變性人不放棄夢想

夢想沒那麼容易實現，但終究激勵人心，這是變性人Bobbi Lancaster的寫照，年過半百才決定由男變女，期待LPGA的舞台，但她挑戰失敗卻不放棄，對2014年充滿期待。

9個月前，〈今日美國〉體育版頭條刊載，變性人球手夢繫LPGA，9個月後雖然挑戰失敗，但夢想仍未熄滅。

2010年，59歲的Robert Lancaster決定動變性手術，為此他已掙扎10幾年，在配偶支持下，變成Bobbi Lancaster，並以成為LPGA選手而努力。

不過她在八月的資格考表現不佳，未能晉級到下一階段，她說：「我想原因是缺乏韌性與自信，但我覺得我已經有相當幅度的成長。」

Bobbi仍不放棄挑戰成為第一位打LPGA的變性人，事實上2010年LPGA規則還不準變性人參賽，當年有一位59歲的變性人Lana Lowless，為此狀告LPGA。

她是參加LDA（美國長打協會）的比賽被拒，因為LDA向LPGA看齊不再讓變性人參賽，因此對LPGA提告，不過該年12月LPGA修改章程，同意變性人參賽。

Bobbi雖無緣參加LPGA，但她獲得Symetra巡迴賽的資格，此為LPGA的次級巡迴賽，她的故事也被廣泛報導，演講邀約不斷，甚至收到很多感謝信，因為她的努力激勵人心。

2014年，她能繼續開拓她的夢想，63歲的她期待夢想成真的一天。
