軍方表示，國防醫學院學生組成的「築孟志工團」，預定於7月前往印度孟買進行衛教服務工作，為宣傳理念、募集愛心，目前正舉辦義賣及募款活動，邀請全國民眾一起發揮善念，讓愛無遠弗屆。

國防醫學院表示，該院學生犧牲暑假時間，自發性組成「築孟志工團」，7月時將由三軍總醫院及國防醫學院的領隊醫師與教官帶隊，前往印度孟買Asha Daan（垂死之家）和Salaam Baalak Trust（街童收容機構）展開為期20天的志工服務。
