不只記者擔任白手套，連高檢署女檢察官也因涉入賭博電玩案被押。

針對兩名社會線記者與警察共同包庇賭博電玩案，經台北地檢署提起抗告後，台灣高等法院27日認定抗告有理由，撤銷兩名涉案記者無保釋放裁定；而台北地方法院在28日重新召開羈押庭後，認定兩人犯罪嫌疑重大，在供述不一致並有串證之虞的前提下，裁定羈押禁見。目前全案共13人在押。
由於台北地檢署檢方不服台北地方法院認定涉嫌擔任白手套送錢的2名記者，與內政部國會聯絡人同時也是電玩業者的李姓股東，和3名收錢員警，皆屬不違背職務行為，而且僅對李男和3名涉案員警裁定羈押禁見，因此提起抗告。
對於兩名涉案記者無保獲釋一事，台北地方法院則指出，雖然涉案記者和電玩業者均為共犯，涉犯不違背職務行賄罪；但由於其犯案時間為民國100年6月底前，有新舊法適用問題而應適用舊法，所以送錢行賄行為並無刑責，因此裁定無保釋放。
但台北地檢署檢方認為，台北地方法院適用法條錯誤，相關涉案人員應適用違背職務行賄、收賄罪，因此對兩名記者無保獲釋部份提起抗告。
全案經台灣高等法院審理後，認定檢方抗告有理由，將原裁定撤銷，發回台北地方法院重新裁定；而台北地方法院也在27日收卷後，在28日下午重新召開羈押庭後，裁定將兩人收押。
