親民黨籍台中市議員段緯宇透露，親民黨將由前立委陳振盛選南投縣長。陳振盛晚間表示，的確答應親民黨要投入明年五合一選舉，但一切都還要等主席宋楚瑜點頭才算確定。

陳振盛曾3度參選南投縣縣長落敗，如果確定，這將是他第4次參選南投縣長。
