小威直落二輕取莎娃　馬德里連霸封后保世界球后寶座

世界球后小威廉絲(A.Williams)於總獎金513.8萬美元(約1.5億台幣)馬德里女網公開賽單打決賽中，只耗時78分鐘就以6比1、6比4淘汰世界第2、去年法網冠軍俄羅斯美女球員莎拉波娃(M.Sharapova)，小威不僅成功衛冕馬德里網賽冠軍，也力保下周世界球后的寶座。
 
小威與莎娃擁有12勝2負的絕對優勢，而且已經保持11連勝紀錄，但這場比賽是世界兩大天后首度在紅土球場上決一死戰。但明顯小威的強力網球讓莎娃難以抵擋，全場只讓莎娃破了一局，但卻攻破莎娃多達5個發球局，讓小威對莎娃取得12連勝戰績，也穩住了自己在下周的世界球后寶座。
