厄瓜多擠下巴西 躍拉美最大可可生產國

厄瓜多已擠下巴西，成為拉丁美洲最大可可生產國，反映擴大種植和教育農民的策略奏效。

厄瓜多國家可可出口商協會（Anecacao）主席昂塔內達（Ivan Ontaneda）指出，厄瓜多可可豆產量去年成長13%至22萬公噸，即將在2015年成為全球第四大可可生產國。

為在經濟成長減速和貿易逆差擴大之際使出口多樣化，以出產重原油和香蕉聞名的厄瓜多，正持續提高可可產量。昂塔內達說，隨著2009和2010年種植的可可樹開始結果，加上政府協助農民提高收成，厄瓜多可可產量將繼續增加。

昂塔內達說：「從可可總產量來看，我們2013年已超越巴西，預估2015年產量將繼續增加至逾25萬公噸，成為全球第四大可可生產國。」

巴西可可豆主要產地巴伊亞州（Bahia）商會統計主管哈特曼（Thomas Hartmann）指出，去年巴西可可產量從前年的22萬8,881噸減少15%至19萬4,382噸。
