北韓特使崔龍海於結束訪華回到平壤，朝中社便刊登相關報導。報導透露，金正恩致習近平主席的親筆信的內容為『希望繼承和鞏固發展兩國老一輩革命家締造和培育的傳統朝中友誼』。北韓勞動黨機關報《勞動新聞》當天在頭版用大半個版面報道崔龍海與習近平、劉雲山、范長龍會見的消息，並配發4張圖片。

根據環球時報報導，韓聯社稱，北韓媒體把大量篇幅用於介紹旨在強調中朝睦鄰友好關係的方向，比如兩國人士見面時的氛圍及發言和交流情況等。而對於崔龍海特使訪華時多次提及的『包括六方會談在內的各種形式對話』等內容均沒有報導。

南韓《東亞日報》稱，習近平強調朝鮮半島無核化，而崔龍海則並沒有提及核問題。先製造緊張局勢，再提出對話建議，這是北韓屢試不爽的伎倆。南國《朝鮮日報》的社評稱，不能據此就草率認為北韓會以真誠的態度加入到有關廢除核設施的談判。北韓此舉的用意更多是挽回大陸日漸變涼的心，但為對話而對話的形式只能給北韓提供喘息時間。
