雖然 HUAWEI Ascend P6 規格並不高，但該手機在 2014 年 1 月就可升級至 Android 4.4 KitKat 作業系統。

HUAWEI 於 2013 年 6 月發表的智慧型手機 Ascend P6，主打僅 6.9mm 的超薄體態，雖然規格並不出色，但根據稍早來自百度的訊息，該手機的 Android 4.4 KitKat 作業系統更新，即將在 2014 年 1 月底推出，算是動作相當快的廠商。

也就是說，HUAWEI Ascend P6 將會跳過 Android 4.3 Jelly Bean 版本，直接由 Android 4.2.2 升級至最新版本，至於會在新系統中，為 Emotion UI 加入什麼新功能，仍有待更多訊息釋出。

HUAWEI Ascend P6 搭載 4.7 吋 HD in-cell LCD，內建 1.5GHz 四核心處理器、2GB RAM / 8GB ROM，能透過 microSD 記憶卡擴充；相機部份則採用光圈 F2.0、支援 4cm 近拍的 800 萬畫素相機，搭配 500 萬畫素前鏡頭。
