下個大地震 學者預測在大陸龍門山斷層

科學家不可能預測何時會發生大地震，不過，研究人員說，他們可以預測中國大陸下一個大地震可能發生在什麼地方。

由密蘇里大學地球物理學家劉勉帶領的研究，2日發表在「地震學研究」期刊上。研究指出，位於青康藏高原和西川盆地之間的龍門山斷層的一塊60公里長的區段，是可能發生大地震的「熱區」。

研究說，這塊地區位於蘆山地震造成的斷層破裂區的東北部，受到2008年汶川地震和2013年蘆山地震的壓力，是「下一個最可能發生大地震的地方」，地震強度可能達到芮氏規模七。
