法新社報導，要求匿名的美國國防官員17日說，美軍計畫在第三國訓練伊拉克部隊，協助伊國防止與恐怖組織凱達有關的民兵勢力再度擴大。

這位美國官員說，在伊拉克及美國雙方都支持這項構想的情況下，此一訓練「很可能」在約旦或另一個國家進行。
