「高雄港埠旅運中心」動土 目標「郵輪母港」

高雄港訂下發展成為「郵輪母港」的目標，斥資四十多億興建的「港埠旅運中心」今天(11月9日)動土，預計民國106年完工。(林憲源報導)

台灣港務公司斥資四十多億元，在高雄港19號、20號碼頭打造「高雄港埠旅運中心」，副總統吳敦義、行政院副院長毛治國、交通部長葉匡時等人出席動土典禮。

吳敦義說高雄港過去貨櫃運輸量曾經是全球第三，隨著大陸洋山港等的啟用，現在的高雄港不能只靠貨物運輸，如果要高雄更好，一定要讓「郵輪母港」的規畫兌現。

出席典禮的高雄市長陳菊表示，過去高雄在重工業的貢獻將逐步轉型為與服務業與金融業並重，也盼望在旅運中心完工啟用後，將高雄發展為全台灣最優質的遊輪母港，共促高雄大翻轉。

高雄港埠旅運中心地下2層、地上15層的玻璃帷幕建築，總樓地板面積大約兩萬七千坪，除了旅客通關空間，還有一千五百坪觀海平台，以及購物、餐飲、休閒等空間，預計民國106年6月完工，尖峰時段可以服務2500名通關旅客。
