世界西洋棋錦標賽九日進行棋王爭霸戰第一戰，衛冕棋王安南與挑戰者卡爾森戰成平手。兩人各下十六手後，同意第一局和局收場。比賽將進行十二局，贏一局獲積分一分，平手各獲○點五分，率先取得六點五分者將登上棋王寶座。
