英國前首相邱吉爾外孫女　金瓜石戰俘營悼念

【戴之聖／新北報導】開羅宣言70週年紀念特展暨國際學術研討會明日開幕，外交部特別邀請英國前首相邱吉爾外孫女蘇姆斯受來台參加，蘇姆斯於今天早上 11時許，抽空前往金瓜石英軍戰俘營，蘇姆斯聽著導覽人員解說在西元1942年的那段歷史，並走到寫著4千多位同盟國戰俘名字的紀念石牆，追悼這群英雄的過往。

蘇姆斯參觀後有感而發表示，這次有機會了解到曾經有英軍在二戰期間為了自由而做出偉大貢獻，我們一定不能忘記，要珍惜得來不易的自由。
