【游芳男／宜蘭報導】陳毅勳祖母謝素蓮（74歲）說：感謝洪家也認為軍方不該將責任推給陳毅勳一人承擔，也感謝各界的關心幫忙「我這個做阿嬤的人，先給大家道個謝謝」、「也感謝天公、老公、眾神的保佑」「我只要求未來我的孫子陳毅勳能有個公正調查、公平審判」「讓他（指陳毅勳）一個人承擔所有責任，誰都會不忍心。」

謝素蓮說：現在我們連夜要籌錢「我也不知道媳婦（陳毅勳母親）去那裡？應該是擔心得到處求神拜拜，或是忙於與律師商量如何打官司。」
