委內瑞拉國會議員桑切斯率團隊開發出一個「緊急按鈕」的智慧手機應用程式，一旦使用者面臨綁架或生命威脅等緊急狀況，只要按螢幕上的按鈕，就能立刻用簡訊與郵件通知三位親友，並且附上自己的地理位置資訊。

桑切斯說，委內瑞拉是全世界謀殺犯罪率最高的國家，這個應用程式也能幫助警方掌握綁票或謀殺案的案情。目前只有黑莓機能使用這個程式。
