美國可能將對敘利亞動武，成熟市場股票紛紛下挫。根據滙豐銀行報告，美國可能對敘利亞採取軍事行動，加上油價飆漲及印度盧比跌至歷史低點，東南亞與印度股市重挫。

東北亞方面，歸因於日圓升值、公司稅調降可能性減低，以及消費稅依舊存在不確定性，影響市場投資信心，日經 225 指數全周下挫 2.0%。南韓、台灣、上海股市歸功於外部狀況轉佳，經常帳順差及龐大外匯儲備作為緩衝，成為區內表現最亮麗的市場，受到外部融資風險的衝擊最低。
