沙國取締非法外勞爆衝突 2死68傷

路透社報導，沙烏地阿拉伯警方9日在首都利雅德南部的曼夫哈(Manfuhah)貧民區跟一群外國勞工爆發衝突，原因是警方強力取締非法外勞。

報導說，在這起衝突發生的過去1週以來，沙國政府為了替本國人民製造就業機會，展開取締非法外勞的行動，單單在5日和6日2天，就逮捕大約1萬6,000人，而且在取締過程中，還發生1名男性外勞遭警方打死。

在9日的衝突中，鎮暴警察對空鳴槍，並用警棍毆打及驅散大批湧入街上的外勞，部分外勞向警員和警車丟擲石塊及其他物品。

路透社記者目擊報導，在9日的衝突中有2人喪生，1人是沙國籍公民，另1人的身分還有待釐清。

警方在當地時間9日晚間表示，在這起衝突中，警方共逮捕561人，另有68人受傷。警方說，參與這起衝突的大部分外勞似乎都是來自非洲國家。
