澳洲媒體巨擘梅鐸，與第三任妻子、華裔鄧文迪的離婚談判進入最後階段，《紐約時報》報導，雙邊律師正著手處理離婚協議的細節，位於曼哈頓的紐約州最高法院一名法官，定20日上午就本案開庭，如果雙方律師已達成協議，法官可能當庭做出裁決，讓這段14年的老少配婚姻畫下句點。

82歲的梅鐸與44歲的鄧文迪於1999年成婚，今年6月梅鐸向法院訴請離婚，理由是「兩人的夫妻關係已經破裂到無可挽回的地步」。

由於梅、鄧兩人簽有婚前協議，之後又簽了兩份婚後協議，基本上對離婚條件大致已有輪廓，不過雙方律師在實際談判時，卻碰到幾個爭執點，最重要的就是兩個女兒葛莉絲（12歲）和克羅伊（10歲）的監護權如何安排。

其次是葛莉絲和克羅伊對於梅鐸的財產繼承權。雖然她們享有和梅鐸另外4個子女一樣的權利，但對於梅鐸設置的家庭信託基金卻沒有投票權。梅鐸財富據估約130億美元，大部分透過該基金掌控。

房產如何分配也是兩造的爭執重點。梅鐸和鄧文迪在紐約的住處位於曼哈頓第五大道一棟大廈頂樓，2005年以4400萬美元買進。在中國北京、澳洲、倫敦和加州，他們也都擁有豪宅。
