美聯社報導，即將竣工的巴西聖保羅Itaquerao球場27日發生場館頂部金屬結構坍塌意外，造成建物嚴重損壞、砸毀場外一個液晶螢幕，並造成3人死亡。

巴西聖保羅為明年世界杯球賽主辦城市，國際足球總會原訂12月驗收聖保羅12個場館，但目前看來場館驗收日期可能延後。
